Vale of Evesham – December 2025
A housing association contacted Ash remediation Management with a contamination issue at one of their properties. Building waste had been buried systematically over a number of years in a large garden. Soil analysis showed asbestos fragments as the main contaminant of concern although other debris was included.
The remediation strategy employed by Ash was a labour-intensive hand picking and sorting exercise which uncovered much more material than the third-party investigation suggested. The waste was removed and a surface scrape of the area was completed, then certified clean top soil was reinstated.
Ash Remediation management staff have the appropriate asbestos training to carry out these works; guidance can be found at: www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos
