Coffee Chain Drive Through, Derbyshire – May 2026
A Midlands based design and build company were developing a drive through for a major coffee chain. The site investigation had identified localised hazardous waste soils which needed disposing of. The Ash team attended site and retrieved samples at depth and further delineated the extents. The onsite work comprised removing hazardous and inert soils. Ash Remediation staff are holders of the WAMITAB 4TMH COTC. This gives clients the assurance that waste is handled and disposed of correctly, this includes on site remediation which is also offered by Ash, details at: CIWM | Chartered Institution of Wastes Management UK
The design also called for the formation level to have an increased bearing pressure. This was achieved via cement stabilisation which offered the required level of ground improvement.
